Keely is a Trauma-informed Dietitian & Lead Dietitian on the Carmel Therapy Team. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in providing virtual Trauma-informed Medical Nutrition Counseling to adults from a polyvagal perspective.

 

Keely prioritizes the nervous system and follows a trauma-informed approach to nutrition counseling, helping her clients better understand the powerful relationship between their body, mind, and nutrition. Keely creates a space that empowers her clients to make nurturing food choices tailored to their needs and circumstances.

 

From a curious perspective, Keely promotes embodiment through body nourishment, nutrition education, awareness, and choice over health circumstances via food. Keely expresses "Food is not just fuel-it's a way to care for yourself. Healing begins when we listen to our bodies with kindness and compassion. I want to help you move past the idea of controlling food and create space for your body to feel heard, supported, and safe in how you receive care." â€‹

Standard Notice GFE LAW: “Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges” Under the No Surprises Act. Beginning January 1, 2022: If you’re uninsured or you pay for healthcare bills yourself ('self-pay, you don’t have your claims submitted to your health insurance plan), providers and facilities must provide you with an estimate of expected charges before you receive an item or service. You can receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under this law, health and mental healthcare providers must give clients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health or mental healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask about your health or mental healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
